We all need maps and compasses when we are climbing the summit of our lives. As your sherpa, I use the Enneagram as such a map, pointing us in the direction of our unique self-development. The Enneagram helps us follow our own North Star. It encourages us to open and blossom. This ancient and inspired teaching charts the self-mastery paths of nine ways of perceiving the world, habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, while revealing buried secrets that we keep from others, and even from ourselves. These grow from vulnerabilities, shame and insecurities. That is why at a first session with a client, they feel truly seen, underneath their masks and survival strategies.
The Enneagram is dynamic and does not stereotype or limit, but rather encourages us to expand way beyond who we think we are. We can challenge our beliefs, bring our shadows into the light. Ultimately, one could imagine accessing an integrated version of ourselves, incorporating all nine sensibilities and their virtues.
