Enneagram

We all need maps and compasses when we are climbing the summit of our lives. As your sherpa, I use the Enneagram as such a map, pointing us in the direction of our unique self-development. The Enneagram helps us follow our own North Star. It encourages us to open and blossom. This ancient and inspired teaching charts the self-mastery paths of nine ways of perceiving the world, habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, while revealing buried secrets that we keep from others, and even from ourselves. These grow from vulnerabilities, shame and insecurities. That is why at a first session with a client, they feel truly seen, underneath their masks and survival strategies.

The Enneagram is dynamic and does not stereotype or limit, but rather encourages us to expand way beyond who we think we are. We can challenge our beliefs, bring our shadows into the light. Ultimately, one could imagine accessing an integrated version of ourselves, incorporating all nine sensibilities and their virtues.

Acting, Writing, Performance and Public Speaking

  • Understanding what box we have already put ourselves into, our mask and façade helps us develop and expand the way we show up in or present ourselves to the world. We see how we limit ourselves and so do others. The Enneagram provides the actor with a holistic structure for creating a character and their motivations. It is a magical tool for auditioning, character building, and spontaneous choice making.
  • For the author, the Enneagram helps create fully fleshed out and consistent
    characters.
  • For performers of any kind and public speakers we unmask and unleash charisma, accessibility and authentic presence.
  • We identify our persona projection. How do others perceive me? How do I perceive myself? Am I protected and blocking connection and why? What moves me? What holds me back?

Growth work, Psychotherapy, Enhancing Social and Emotional Intelligence

  • Identify our core motivations, values and belief systems.
  • Become aware of our filters and blind spots.
  • The body never lies. We can use our body data to move from oblivious to aware, confusion to clarity.
  • Explore our automatic emotional reactions and wired-in triggers.
  • Anticipate our habitual reactive responses and open to a broader, receptive and more neutral perspective of a situation.
  • Reveal our shadows and projections.

As we begin to accept ourselves, without judgment, we become aware of what we are
projecting onto others affecting all of our relationships.

  • How do I protect myself?
  • What am I afraid of?
  • How am I limiting myself?

The Enneagram offers us possibilities and new ways of perceiving that may never have occurred to us. The Enneagram can guide us and set us free.
